Jiu-Jitsu

Means β€œthe art of softness.” Jiu Jitsu was first practiced in Japan, popularized in Brazil by the Gracie family and then more recently with the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). This style emphasizes techniques that allow a smaller fighter to overcome a bigger, stronger opponent. It is considered a ground fighting or grappling style of the martial arts.
